Could Be a Great Game...

This game really has a lot going for it - it is fun to play and addictive. But - it has so many significant programming issues that it is virtually unplayable. Scenarios will suddenly end before play is finished - frustrating when youve spent an hour or more fighting for a victory. Accidentally brush the end of turn button and it jumps to the AIs turn. (there should be a dialog asking if you really are finished with your turn -standard practice in computer games). The edge of the screen is unreadable but units are often here but out of reach. The AI could be much more clever, but the main point is that the programming is so sloppy that the game is unplayable. You never know when it will quit on you. I purchased all of the scenarios so Im out about $10. Not the end of the world, but this game should not be for sale until these huge bugs are fixed. There in no excuse for this being released in this condition.

I was having high hope for this

First of all, its not an awful game, but do not expect it to be Siltherine quality like Panzer Corps. The more I played it, the more disappointed I felt. I would call the current build "intern quality". For the designer, the bottom line is you need to test your game before release. Bugs: 1. The attack value vs artillery is always 0 in the purchase bar. The health of Pak 43 is empty. Goliath icon title is heavy truck. Sometimes can not show the damage of Wespe (20 shown as 2). 2. Very hard to check the unit data near top screen (data shows off screen); 3. The save/load is having issue. All captured towns will become not captured again. You could go back and get the bonus again; 4. In one game, a Panther ran straight off the screen and never came back. And the game hung up there to wait it to come back. 5. There is no way to select an alternative path. Your units will run through a minefield even though there is a perfect path with the same length; 6. Several victory conditions can not be triggered. Like capturing all cities in Kursk. I saw someone asked about this bug in their forum months ago but is still not fixed; 7. Sometimes, the move range shows the unit can go to some location but when you click, nothing happens. Others: 1. There is no way to turn on the hex; 2. AI is not smart. It will use machine gun to attack a tank instead of infantry. The game feels repetitive. Prepare artillery, bunk down the tanks, and wait the enemy to come; 3. The clouds!!! Worst idea ever!!! If you send your troops in the cloud, good luck. In one scenario, one truck was under the cloud. I never noticed it until it was destroyed. Another game, a railgun was hidden under the cloud. I just did not get it why they design something causing nothing but trouble.

Decent effort

Overall a good game. AI could be a little smarter , the Leningrad scenario the supply/reinforcement button doesnt work, and the belgograd scenario one of the soviet units is hidden off map so one of the conditions Can never be met. Oh, and saved games dont save all the captures so they need to be retaken.

Nice iPhone War Game

Long time fan of Close Combat since the original I found this on the current makers website. It has great graphics, fun for the iPhone, not too complicated and fairly sort scenarios which are good for an iPhone compared to a computer game where its easier to sit for 2-3 hours in from of a big 27" monitor...very impressed at how well this is put together for the handheld device.

Its Great until it stopped

It worked fine until Leningrad. Then the reinforcement points froze.

Great game!

Must have for someone who loves strategy games.

fun history themed turn based strategy

This is a fun game, especially for someone like me who likes ww2 and history. Unfortunetaly the UI is REALLY small, and there are a few glitches in the current version, but that has not kept me from thouroughly enjoying the game.

I like it

Please fix Leningrad supply issue. I noticed no updates in a few months. Its game thats strategy but yet not boring. Fix that and the easy swipe turn button and 5 stars you get.

Great game but....

Love the game and the graphics but I dont like how you have to buy the game and then turn around and buy the rest of the game to have the full game.... Sounds to me that your guys are being money hungry if you are gonna do that just charge for all the other Scenarios along with the actual game instead of having someone buy the title beat it and then turn around and have to buy the rest of the game for $2-$3 a piece

Great game for the price.

This is a fun little game for the price.

Unplayable due to UI bug

Unit strength numbers do not appear on iOS 8.2 or later, making the game unplayable until it is fixed. Given that the issue was reported 6 months ago, dont hold your breath on a fix either. Shame on the debs for ignoring this.

High Hopes, big let down

The game is only 12 shoooooort missions. Took less than three hours to complete the entire game. Then I had to pay more to keep going..... Really slithering I thought much higher of you.

Road to Moscow

Great game but unexpected cut off is aggravating.

Frontline Road to Moscow

It could be an excellent game. The game quits in the middle. It quits just before completion . It is frustrating . You spend hours to get through the campaign and its all wasted. Should refund money.

Nice War Strategy Game.

Intuitive game play, strategy and tactics only, no wasting time building an empire, challenging enough to keep you interested and nice graphics.

Slithering doesnt care

There was a small bug that didnt allow people to see unit strength. One would assume its an easy fix. Its been a year since they fixed it. Dont buy. Company doesnt care about supporting games.
